Glenands came into existence at the time when products exclusively meant for pets where unheard of in the Indian market. The premier Glenand product store, the first of its kind to have a section wholly devoted to exclusive pet products was started at No.3, M.G.Road in the year 1930 by Mr.David.  Since dog biscuits were being imported at that time there was always a glaring difference in quality and scarcity, He then came up with the novel idea of manufacturing wholesome, nutritional Dog Biscuits made with no artificial flavoring or color. Quality was of utmost important after extensive research and sampling, Glenand Dog Biscuits was launched and it was soon a rage amongst pets and pet lovers.

 As time passed by, the demand for Glenand Dog Biscuits became overwhelming and it was necessary to start an exclusive retail Pet store to cater to the demand of dog biscuits by Pet lovers in Bangalore.  It was then the ingenious Mr. E.V Jayakaran, son of Mr. David, who came up with the idea of starting an exclusive pet store, catering to each and every need of a pet, besides dog biscuits, hence GLENANDS EXCLUSIVE PET STORE was born.
